1. Briolette Diamond Necklace
Value: $11.1 million
Talk about a necklace with so many smaller pieces of diamonds in it. The Briolette Diamond Necklace has a flawless briolette diamond as its centerpiece, and another amazing marquise diamond of a purple-pink shade attached to it.
It weighs more than 75.36 carats. When it was sold at an auction, it was sold for $11.1 million, after much expectation that it would be sold for less. It became one of the most expensive jewelry pieces in the world.
2. Wallis Simpson’s Panther Bracelet
Value: $12.4 million
The Wallis Simpson’s Panther Bracelet was designed by Cartier Paris in 1952 but owned by American socialite and Duchess of Windsor Wallis Simpson. The bracelet, which is shaped like a panther, studded with onyxes and diamonds, was auctioned at $12.4 million, which is rumored to be thrice its original value, even though the bracelet was not in its best condition when it was sold.
When auctioned, some stones were missing. The bracelet is believed to belong to Madonna, the director of the film about Simpson and her lover King Edward VII.
