5 Things to Remember on Sanitizing Hands

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends washing hands with water and soap to minimize the risk of contracting coronavirus and other diseases to reduce the level of bacteria on hands as much as possible. Using paper towels after cleaning hands in public places is preferable, as they remove moisture much quicker, and hand dryers may also retain bacteria and viruses. When this cleaning method is not convenient, you need to use sanitizers based on alcohol that requires at least 60 percent alcohol. Which effective, though, are the hand sanitizers? Go work it out!

Hand sanitizer and soap work in a completely different manner!

Understanding that soap should not be replaced with a hand sanitizer is especially essential! Sanitizers are used for situations where skin washing is impossible or an extra step of protection. Human skin has numerous fats on it, and multiple viruses hold to them. Soap comprises substances that break down fats; there is indeed an external effect due to which bacteria are washed off with water when rubbed on. The disinfecting effect of antiseptics is distinctive and short. Besides, if the hands are deeply soiled the disinfectant would likely not penetrate the skin

With soap, you wash off the virus and sterilize the skin, destroy any bacteria with a hand sanitizer, but just don’t clean the skin. An antiseptic doesn’t kill all the bacteria, it’s vital. Pathogens that cause diarrhea remain on hand, even after the use of the latter.

For only certain circumstances the use of a hand sanitizer is vital

Soap and water are examples of our close mates, so you have to clean your hands with soap and water whenever possible. Furthermore, a hand sanitizer must be used first in certain cases. You’ve been to a medical institution, for example, or opened a door somewhere in town. Then perhaps you could communicate with someone who has a poor immune system. Next, you need to use a hand sanitizer to avoid taking toxic bacteria and viruses around in either of these cases and wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20-30 seconds as soon as possible.

Mechanism is important

Sanitizers should always be used correctly. The approach of disinfection is essential. Apply and spread a certain quantity of the product to your hand palm, which is optimal for both hands (your fingertips as well). Wipe on it until it dries up completely (about 20 seconds). The application time is important-as it becomes ineffective in cases where you misuse the sanitizer (not enough time)!

How can this be dangerous?

You should review the label carefully when selecting a hand sanitizer, as it can contain harmful substances. That argument is especially important if a child is using the sanitizer. If it gets into the bloodstream, it may cause serious poisoning so that a doctor immediately needs to be called up. Sanitizers are often extremely flammable, so keep them away from ignition sources.

Homemade sanitizers’ ineffectiveness

Homemade sanitizers won’t only be ineffective but also harmful because they will only give the impression of disease safety. Experts strongly recommend not creating these products at home, as making the desired composition from alcohol. With that homemade antiseptic, people felt safe, assuming they’ve washed their hands properly, but in fact, they haven’t yet been disinfected. “And that may be a critical error.” There were also occurrences of skin burning.
