The love story of one Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry was on the covers of several magazines that usually put the spotlight over the heads of celebrities. The couple planned to get married somewhere in summer after publicly announcing the engagement on February 14, 2019. As the pair were preparing for the wedding, the coronavirus outbreak started taking its pandemic-like shape.
By the end of February, it was clear that any wedding plans will have to account for the rampaging epidemic currently affecting 196 countries all across the globe. While Katy Perry was hopeful that the wedding date wouldn’t be necessary to postpone, the recent developments indicate that it is inevitable.
However, Perry is a resourceful woman who always has a backup plan to fall back on. Since the wedding ceremony in the Eastern hemisphere seems more and more unlikely, the famous singer shared with some media outlets that the whole celebration will be significantly scaled-down and conducted privately with only several very close friends invited to the party.
Last weekend, Orlando Bloom also shared his ideas about how soon he will be calling Katy his wife. He believes that it will happen in the nearest future. Plan B that has been in the mind of Perry may involve a lot of traveling. Bloom noticed that he does not want to make his guests feel uncomfortable and travel across the globe amidst the epidemic.
While having wedding plans canceled due to the virus is surely a big problem, both celebrities also have their professional schedules significantly affected by the outbreak. Orlando Bloom will be taking a break from working on the set of Carnival Row situated in the Czech Republic. Ms. Perry had to get back to the US after canceling her press tour.
